Social Service Program

Assisting families and individuals in need in Miami-Dade county consisting of new comers, senior citizens, homeless and the under-served population with ACCESS Program, Food Pantry Program and Information and Referral Program.

ACCESS Program
As a community partner we are an official ACCESS Assisted-Service Site providing assistance to customers to apply for benefits such as:

  • Food Stamps (SNAP)
  • Temporary Cash Assistance
  • Medicaid

Customers can come to the center and check the status of their application or report a change. Trained Staff provide assistance to the customer to submit a web application. Staff provide case status information and outstanding information needed to determine eligibility.

Food Pantry Program
The primary goal of the food pantry program is to meet the food needs of low-income family and individual of Miami-Dade County. To participate in the program household needs to meet the income eligibility guidelines or participate in one of the following programs: Food Stamp (SNAP), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Medicaid, SSI.

Our Food Pantry Program consists of

  • Non-perishable food donations
  • Bi-weekly USDA food distribution
  • Fresh Produce through FarmShare

Non-perishable food donations are received within the community and stored at our center for free distribution. Bi-weekly USDA food distribution is conducted at our center every 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. Fresh Produce through FarmShare distributed at our center when available.

Information and Referral Program
Helping the community in need by providing information and referrals to empower each individual and family.

Staff members and available to provide information and make appropriate referrals to our network of community based partner agencies and collaborators equipped to best meet the needs of the client.
